As part of ‘ Social Inclusion Awareness Week’ (14th -20th October) , Leitrim Development Company will host a seminar ‘Social Inclusion in Leitrim’ in the Lough Allen Hotel at 7pm on 17th of October.
Guest speakers at this event will include Donal Fox,CEO, Leitrim Development Company who will speak about the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme(SICAP) and how communities and individuals can benefit from this programme. Liam Scollan, Community Coach and Consultant, will speak about the ‘Re-imagining Leitrim’ project which has highlighted a range of issues facing the county. Seamus Boland, CEO of Irish Rural Link(IRL) will speak from the national perspective about issues facing rural Ireland and the role of their organisation in representing these issues.
There will be stands from a range of agencies involved in social inclusion work in Leitrim providing details of their work, supports to communities and grant supports available.
